Dumont Throw

The Dumont Throw was designed by Roisin O'Donnell, an illustrator based in Norwich, England, known for her playful characters and a wit that brings a sense of nostalgia and warmth to everything she makes.

Roisin has a habit of digging through secondhand shops for old illustrated books, and keeps a collection of Folk and Naive Art that she returns to whenever she needs a spark.
That influence is all over the Dumont Throw which is bold with slightly wobbly figures and a storybook energy, set loose in a scene. The result is joyful and a little absurd in the best way. Read our interview with Roisin here.

Every Slowdown Studio throw starts as an original artwork. We collaborate with independent artists around the world to translate their creativity into woven form. The Dumont Throw is jacquard woven in the USA from cotton with at least 25% recycled cotton: lightweight, textured, and built to last. Use it as a couch blanket, a bed blanket, a wall art tapestry, or wherever you need a little colour or personality.
